Course Purpose

If your role requires you to conduct interviews, verify information, make enquiries, fact find, investigate matters, clarify or gather information, then this program will provide immediate tools and take your skills to the next level. In addition, you will learn how to prepare and ask powerful questions, build confidence and learn how to recognise verbal and non-verbal behaviours associated with deception and hiding the truth.

Highly popular in the government security sector, this program takes a practical behavioural approach to improve exisiting interviewing skills and increase self awareness.

This program will assist you to:

• Develop an understanding of the impact of behavioural differences in interviews and communication
• Learn to adapt your behaviour to build rapport and increase interviewing effectiveness
• Increase confidence levels in managing difficult or challenging interviews or interviewing uncooperative people
• Learn highly effective behavioural questions and other techniques used by leading international law enforcement agencies
• Understand how to best use pro-forma questionairre guides
• Learn to detect and read microexpressions

Any person who is involved in formal or informal face-to-face or telephone interviews where the goal is to gather accurate information. Designed primarily for people conducting any type of investigative, fact finding, enquiry, vetting or security interviews.

Program duration:

This program is delivered in a three and four and five day format and can be customised to meet specific organisational needs. The course is also delivered in a blended format incorporating an online component and 2 classroom days.
